Ilocos Day 2 Part 2: Lovely Pagudpud

Finally! Here’s day 2 part 2 of our Ilocos Adventure. Been super busy at work which is why it took me a week to blog again. Boo-hoo.

So after our 4×4 and sand boarding experience over at Laoag, we boarded the bus to Claveria (?). Kuya Glenn was kind enough to tell the conductor where we are going and where to drop us off. So we hopped on the ordinary bus, ready to go to Pagudpud.

It took us an hour to get there, Ate Cathy was texting me asking me where we were. I mentioned to her that we are in Pagudpud, near the big sea shell with the Pagudpud sign. She then told me to wait for our “sundo.” After 5 minutes a tryke arrived, since we couldn’t fit in one tryke we got another one.

One thing I noticed when we were in Pagudpud is the cold wind, seriously it was freaking cold, which was nice because it was super sunny. Anywho, we got there at Ate Cathy’s home stay and she asked me to pick which room we would want to stay in. Naturally I picked the larger room with the bigger beds. 🙂

We first talked about our budget, and how much we will spend that day. We forgot to withdraw money when we were still at Laoag – please take note if you will be travelling to Pagudpud, we discovered that there were no ATM’s there. So we worked around the money we have – our budget for that day and the next until we get to Laoag.

After that, we changed and went to the beach. Saud beach is so beautiful, it’s like a secret paradise because only a few groups were there and most are locals, but there were some tourists too. I immediately fell in love with Saud Beach, I highly recommend it to people who would like to unwind to do some soul searching. 🙂

There were a few hotels and restaurants there but since we were in a budget we decided to buy our dinner at an ihaw ihaw place. We spent P100/person for dinner. Palos and E were planning on drinking after our meal but they decided to just sleep (I feel that they were exhausted – travelling + extreme activities).
